Dr. Michelle M. Martínez-Montemayor leads a cancer biology and experimental therapeutics research lab at Universidad Central del Caribe – School of Medicine. She is also the President and co-founder of Dynamiko Pharmaceutics, LLC; a startup focused on the development of selective and affordable natural product derived therapies for aggressive breast cancers. Dr. Martínez is part of the IBC Research Foundation, Millburn Foundation, and Susan G. Komen’s IBC Collaborative, an international consortium to provide feedback and further study IBC tumor biology, with the goal of improving IBC diagnosis and therapy. She is also a full member of the ASCB-MAC. Her lab has been continuously funded by various sources including the NIH, Department of Education, Susan G. Komen, and the Puerto Rico Science, Technology and Research Trust.
